winter warmers: cosy cashmere

you could call me boring for a lot of reasons. one, i consider a game of scrabble a roaring good time. two, i've been known to make physics jokes. and three, i will happily engage in a post-mortem discussion of the most inane of films. but getting fanatical about finding good basics really isn't that boring: if you invest in quality, you get a good payout. and something that's been on my wishlist for long time is a good staple jumper. now it's getting a little colder outside, i've been after something i can rock around the house for cosy warmth and out and about to stay wrapped up in style. i'm willing to pay a little more than i would for fast fashion, so i'd need it to be super versatile so i could get my money's worth. so maybe it's time to consider cashmere, right? there's a massive selection of women's knitwear at pure collection, which stocks some super soft-looking jumpers and cardigans and dresses to name a few. i wanted to see just how much wear i could get out of one their jumpers, so i decided to see if i could squeeze three different looks out of one camel-coloured, cashmere-cosy jumper. you could totally wear this to a (non-librarian) party: balance it out with some out and out sparkles (see, sequins on the blog! order is restored) and killer heels for a festive party look. or black tights and a leather mini for a day-to-day shopping kind of feel? finally, stick it with a good blazer, resort-hot white trousers and a statement necklace for an on trend and relaxed work look. i chose a butterscotch number, check out what i came up with:

a post in partnership with pure collection. all views and words and wit are my own!

I used to work at a company that specialised in natural fabrics and getting a cashmere jumper with my uniform allowance one winter was definitely one of the best decisions. Beware wearing it when it's not that cold though - they are deceptively warm and you will get a sweat on! Lovely!

Love a good jumper which I can wear with everything! Definitely in love with mine... And of course, when I see my boyfriend, I would steal his too;p

They're so comfy/warm; and so versatile! Would have to get a leather skirt one way or another; can't imagine/wait to see how that goes! xx
