i can't be the only person who leaves it a really, really long time between hair cuts. i mean, we're talking two a year here. i think having long hair it's easier to disguise how badly it needs trimming, but whenever i sit down in front of my stylist, i can tell he's gravely disappointed in me and my split ends. you know that HOB is my new favourite, so when i looked in the mirror a couple of weeks ago and realised i could no longer see through my fringe, i decided it was time for my sophomore trim. my hair looks really simple, but i'm beyond picky about it and also really bad at verbalising how i want it. so my stylist, luca, is some kind of hair god, as i pick up random sections and say "you know...bouncy...layers...not too short", and he manages to make my hair look so good, my friend pavneet said it looked "hollywood on my head". a lot of you comment asking about my hair and how i style it and where i get it cut; my hair is naturally a little darker than these snaps (chloe at HOB takes care of my bi-annual transformation from dishwater to buttery blonde) and naturally a mix of wavy and curly. luca does this brilliant cut where he mixes lots of long layers with soft edges around my head so that they pack a tonne of volume, and leaves me with a huge fringe that he sweeps to the side. (FYI, i was totally rocking this look before zooey deschanel, okay? we both just happen to be more fringe than woman.) the result is something i can style into a classy, curly do like this, or leave unstyled and beachy, bed-heady wavy. my lovely friends dina and alix took these pics - the whistles press day was at claridge's, and we snuck into an empty ballroom to take these.
i'm wearing my monki skirt which i am obsessed with, along with a monki clutch (gulp - please start doing loyalty cards) and my mawi ring. i got it from mawi earlier than day, and i have worn it non-stop every day ever since. do you have an accessory like that, one you instantly fell in love with? i can't be parted from it now!

you are such a stunner <3
Your hair looks gorgeous here. Reminds me I need a haircut.
And I love that clutch...and slightly obsessed with your skirt as well.
Miss you! Can't wait to hang out when I get back.
I love your hair and wish I could wear a fringe. I love them so, but it would look ridiculous on me!
I'm so terrible at going for haircuts too, definitely a 2/3 a year kind of person! Your hair looks gorgeous, perfect curls and lovely skirt and clutch too!

These photos make me miss my fringe. I started to grow it out for summer because it was too hot having hair all over my face, but its winter now so maybe I'll get it back again. Your hair colour is so beautiful too.
definitely not the only one. It's been over 2 years since I've visited a hair dresser at all xx
I love how you used different shades of green for the color blocking :) and yes, Monki is pretty awesome (makes you a bit proud as a Swede haha)
Still so in love with that skirt, I might have to treat myself!

You do indeed have beautiful hair. I couldnt leave my fringe for a whole 6 months though. After 3 it gets too heavy and splits so is no longer a fringe. Your green skirt if great. I can see why you want to wear it lots. Re your comment. It is only 1 girl in the shots. Xxxx
your hair is absolutely perfect, you're giving me major hair envy right now! these photos are gorgeous, as are you! i really want that green monki clutch xx
really love your style here! your accessories really make the look stand out, with your different hues of green :)

I love your hair and am so jealous of your curls.
My hair id dead straight whatever I do--but I am still hoping this will change, this summer hopefully.
Hoonneyyy....you are sooo sweet!!!! i in love with your bag, thats sooo great. ;O)))) I follow YOU, i hope you follow me back. Kisses from Germany ;****
I totally understand what you mean -- If it wasn't for dyeing my hair, I wouldn't get my hair cut nearly as often. It's expensive, and it takes a lot of time that I don't have.

A simple and cute outfit :D

Christ that outfit is incredible and yet so simple. Jealous! I really need to find a good hairdresser - that's the problem with going away to university and moving away from my regular stylist.
your hair is so nice! i don't think i've been to the hairdressers in nearly two years...that's so bad! but i do trim my hair myself. also, i love your skirt and clutch! :) x
your clutchis fab <3
Your hair looks so good! You are such a babe O_O. I 100% hear you on hairdressers, i am literally terrified of going! I've not been in about a year? I think it's the combination of mirrors EVERYWHERE and the fact that a trim = a billion inches off in hairdresser speak. xxx
Beautiful blog with a lot of inspiring ideas! Love your posts! Would you like to follow each other?
Your hair looks lovely, and I love that green clutch!

I'd love to have curly hair - mine is straight and cropped short which I love but I suppose we always want to try what we don't have! Gorgeous skirt, it's like the colour of the sea on a summer's day when the water is crystal clear. Love how you just happened to "sneak into an empty ballroom" to take these shots!
Beautiful!
