birthday girl
i honestly, wholeheartedly believe that celebrating your birthday on just one day is a waste. seriously, drag it out for as long as i did. i had my parents take me out for a cheeky wagamama, headed to the pub with my friends, was treated to a shoreditch house brunch by one of my favourite couples, AND i'm still not done. my sister and best friend are both in devon and europe respectively, so you know i'll be dragging them out for drinks once they return. basically, i am now nineteen (which i've decided is an ugly number). i'm also a two week break from my beauty assisting gig at harper's bazaar, so regular blogging will resume! comments will be replied to! events will be attended! i can't wait to sink my teeth back into blogging - i'm planning to roll my eyes and say "my blog will hear about this" whenever i get bad service and instagram every morsel that passes my lips. if you didn't follow me on twitter already, i bet you can't wait to now! this post is a little mix of birthday gifts i got; an embellished shirt from zara, a skirt from topshop and a pair of LV-rip off shoes i treated myself to when i was at the sunday times style. in fact, the whole look is kind of an LV-rip off. i was telling vanessa last week how i still wasn't over their SS12 ad campaign, featuring plastic-fantastic stepford wife type models looking shocked at pieces of cake in beautiful, lacey, pastel pieces. i guess it was playing on my mind when i put this together. i feel the need to say that even I think this is pretty saccharine, and that i do tend to look a bit less manic pixie dream girl these days. but hey, i guess seeing will be believing...

Birthday for one day? No. Birthday weekend? I can do better. Birthday week? That's more like it. I prefer a birthday MONTH. :)

haha! love your advice to drag out your birthday as long as possible, might hold a celebration for my birthday which was 5 months ago.

Haha! I totally agree, drag it out! Seriously love the rhinestone collar on the blouse & those heels! I'm developing a bit of a thing for shoes with metal toe caps! Really sugary sweet look, you so pull it off though & it really suits you! :)
