introducing keepsake

i might have had dalliances with dark lipstick, leather jackets and skinny black jeans lately, but underneath it all, i think i still love the sweeter things in life. with both food and fashion, i often prefer things to be a little sugary (hence why this blog is mainly just cake and pretty things), but even i often call saccharine on some summer clothes. unless you are directly en route to a midsummer night's dream themed bash, a lot of high street SS stuff can be a little too pretty, and not pack enough of a punch. enter keepsake; sister label to finder's keepers (who you know i love), their collections feature feminine shapes with cheeky cut-outs and clever details. it's just on the cusp of california gurls-esque paradise, whilst keeping some fashion-forward sensibilities with the colours and silhouettes. sure, it might be a little too girly for some, but i think it's playful and fun. the fabrics are brilliant quality, and slipping one of their numbers, i felt i'd hit grown-up girly right on the head. personally, i think i'd feel comfortable wearing these summer after summer, as there's nothing too trend-led about them. i start another beauty assisting gig at marie claire in a week or so, so until them, i'm going to be sleeping, blogging, writing and generally doing all the things that will fade into the 9-5 oblivion until then. i'm a regular dolly parton! you know, just with less rhinestones. all the items in the last three posts have been borrowed from greene & shepphard PR - thank you guys for letting me run wild in your showroom!

and PS - thank you to everyone in the next press team! for some reason, my body packed in during their press launch this week and i fainted (hey, i know how to be remembered) but the guys were like a very stylish paramedic team, administering tea and fruit and assurances i hadn't embarrassed myself that much.

I love that you experiment with your look so much. Being a huge fan of leather jackets, that would probably be my favorite look, but this style suits you so well. Love that first dress!
