on wednesdays, we wear pink.
nobody likes to compromise. wanting to support charity fashionably but only having a few naff options to choose from is like having to have a vegan, non-gluten, tofu bean cutlet when all you want is a hamburger. well, this year's offerings from breast cancer awareness are the best, biggest and juiciest hamburger you could wish for. with extra cheese and jalapenos. some brilliant retailers (my-wardrobe, adidas and propercorn) to name a few have all designed some pink products and pledged to donate a portion of their profits to the good cause. i personally fell in love with the stella & dot numbers; this beautiful purse and gorgeous rose-gold bracelets are bold and subtle respectively, and completely gorgeous. all net profits from both products go to breakthrough breast cancer, so while you're working the accessories, your money's working too, helping to battle breast cancer and provide support to sufferers. obviously, you never need an excuse to support a good cause, but it helps when you can do it in style, right? these are beautifully crafted, high-quality, classic pieces; not faddy one-offs. i'd happily wear and use them forever. also, the lipstick i'm wearing is the official breakthrough breast cancer lipstick, available at M&S - i loved the colour and it stayed put pretty well. the mercer purse is £65 from the gold wrap bracelet is £95.00 and the smaller hope bracelet is £25.00, all from www.stelladot.co.uk. i'd massively like to thank aubaine in mayfair for allowing us to shoot inside their café at about ten minutes notice, too!
